Kindergarten (5+ years old)
The Kindergarten curriculum is based on performance objectives that have been defined by North Dakota, however literacy and social development are our main focus in the classroom. Our certified kindergarten teacher will structure the class instruction based on ideas from a balanced literary program that blends the best of whole language and phonics together. Lesson plans are developed while considering long term themes or studies which are consistent with the school’s philosophy of Reggio Emilia. Themes may include activities that integrate several (or all) of our 6 core developmental areas. Field trips may be incorporated into the curriculum to enhance the learning experience as appropriate.
